Double vase François Dumas
Sèvres porcelain
A small porcelain vase decorated in Sèvres blue and gold. 24-carat gold thread on the lip. The Double vase is part of the Superimposed Vases collection created by the designer François Dumas with the craftsmen of the Manufacture. Sèvres marks on the bottom.
Art object entirely handmade by our craftsmen in the workshops of the Manufacture. Nuances and variations may appear from one piece to another, making each one almost unique.
The four silhouettes that make up Superimposed Vases play on volumes with sinuous and contrasting lines. Double, Quintuple, Quadruple and Sixtuple are variations on the same shapes, inspired by mould stacks. Double is the smallest and simplest of the set, offering - thanks to a height similar to its width - an identity based on symmetry and harmony of lines. Winner of the Grand Prix du jury at the Design Parade in 2010, François Dumas presented these creations for the first time at the Villa Noailles in 2011. These vases are now part of the Manufacture de Sèvres repertoire.
The other Sixtuple, Quintuple and Quadruple vases of the Superimposed collection are available for sale or for order at the showroom of the Manufacture de Sèvres.
