Plate shape created in the 19th century. Design by Jules-Constant Peyre, chief designer at the Manufacture from 1856 to 1871.
The piece is shaped by molding, using a plaster mold on a wheel. After drying, its final profile is achieved by turning on a rotating wheel. The scalloped edges are cut and rounded with a steel blade and sandpaper. The plate is glazed by dipping and undergoes three firings. Sèvres marks appear under the base.
Art object entirely handmade by our craftsmen in the workshops of the Manufacture. Nuances and variations may appear from one piece to another, making each one almost unique.
